Baby Johnny's First Birthday Party

Let's be real. A child's first birthday, minus the gifts, is more for the adults than the kids....and this was no exception. ;0)

Great food, drinks and company made Baby Johnny's first birthday a HUGE success!! Lots of family and friends came over to see him and celebrate his big day. We wanted to do a spin on kids favorites: chicken pieces, burgers, PB & J, cookies, etc. Lisa did a great job executing the menu and everyone loved the food!!

Go Johnny! It's Your Birthday!!

Today is Baby Johnny's birthday!!! ONE YEAR!!! Our wiser elders were always telling us to "enjoy every minute because the time goes by so fast." Ugh. Again, they were right. ;0)

So much has changed in the last 12 months that you can't help but reminisce from pregnancy to being one year. Enjoy this little montage of Baby Johnny's first year.

Growing So Fast

So today is October 1st. That means that Baby Johnny's first birthday is in 3 days!! I can't believe it's been a year already. We thought he was amazing when he was a newborn, but every day he is more interactive and we enjoy him even more. He loves to yell, make faces and noises to get people's attention and it makes you laugh every time!!

Weaning

So now that the baby is almost a year, I am trying to wean him off the breast. Johnny has a fear that Baby J will end up like the kid from Grown Ups.

I bought some whole milk and he's not loving it. He drinks a good amount of water but doesn't care for the milk. Any suggestions on how to get him into it??  He only drinks from a sippy cup and hasn't seen a bottle in at least 6 months.

Remember in the beginning when you all said, "He's so quiet and observant." Guess what? Those days are over!! He has found his voice and wants it heard!

Hello Baby

The most entertaining part of my day is when Baby Johnny is playing by himself and I just get to watch. He does the funniest stuff!! Hello baby....kissy, kissy.
